they lied when they said the good die young
Remember that song Vampires will never hurt you? That's a lie. Remember the garlic? The crosses?
The wooden stakes? Those are all lies, too. How do I know? I lived in Court Mason, West Virginia.
Yes. Lived. In the past tense. What? I'm not the only ghost around here. Far from it, in fact. We've
got a bit of an infestation problem when it comes to the supernatural. Vamps, ghosts, psychics. Not
major news. Most of Court Mason's human population don't know they're doing the monster mash,
man. At least for now. . . Although, if certain no good for nothing vampires don't stop dining on the
masses, this secret will be out of the bag. That's why some moldy oldie "ancients" have made their
way out of the woodwork. Er, they want to "massacre CM" 30 Days of Night style, and the current
blizzard is not helping the Court Mason survival rate. People have been disappearing for months, but
right now, it's not something the good citizens of Court Mason can ignore. I mean, really. How many
dead bodies does anyone need before someone's gonna take notice? How close does death have to
come to you before you get a clue? Or are you one of those leeches, delivering some common sense?
Either way, you better get the hell out of Dodge, because those ancients are all nasty mutha 'uckers.
stay with me, stay with me tonight,
If you decide to stay, there's a few things you need to know. Vampires don't sparkle. They sleep in
coffins. The only way to kill them? Beheading or immolation. They can't live off of animal blood. To
be honest, the only "alternative" they have to hunting for food is Red Cross blood banks, but no self
respecting vampire is going to bother. Ghosts can't hurt you directly, but they will make your life hell,
and if you die, you're stuck with them. Forever. Souls aren't moving on in Court Mason. Too bad. Hey,
at least you get to enjoy my pretty face for all eternity, right? . . . Go whine to a psychic about it. Not
like they have anything better to do about it, 'cept, you know, trying to prevent the death of, you
know, everyone. It's a big mess, but someone's got to deal with it, and no one else has any clue of
what's going on. The storm is just beginning, baby, and well. . . You'll just have to see what unfolds.
